While serving NCARNG in 2018 on the Wilmington Readiness Center MILCON Project, Brian read One Second After by Forstchen, elevating his awareness of the serious effects of EMP on the existing electrical grid.

When National Guardsmen talked of Readiness/Resiliency/Redundancy, Brian understood the obvious need to “Harden the Grid” against EMP disruption or damage.

Now that massive expansion of the distribution system is underway, Brian is ready to contribute professional efforts for the Carolinas and beyond!

As a licensed professional Civil Engineer with experience industry-wide, Brian offers site-design engineering specific to projects aimed to Harden the Grid!

Where We Work

Brian Ruff is licensed in NC. He offers integrity-driven experience that derives from his work on the Roadrunner project at the Tesla Gigafactory in Sparks, NV; on solar farms and BESS Projects with Strata Clean Energy in VA and NC; and on new location oil pipelines and SAGD extraction sites in Northern Canada with Jacobs Engineering.
